Yael creates a limited-edition capsule collection in partnership with Casa do Rio Tupana — an organization that works for sustainability in the Amazon, women’s equality and a more equitable Brazil. Through their Teçume fashion project, women who’ve had harrowing experiences are empowered, and taught to produce and sell their traditional woven crafts made sustainably from the straw-rich rainforest. Yael designs six pieces incorporating their indigenous straw weaving technique including a one-of-a-kind necklace that will be auctioned off at the BrazilFoundation gala on September 13, 2018. All proceeds from the sale of this collection will benefit Casa do Rio Tupana. Shop the collection exclusively in our New York and São Paulo ateliers beginning in September and October, respectively.
